Rey using a double-bladed red lightsaber.  The sound of Darth Vader's labored breathing.  An epic duel between Rey and Kylo Ren about what seems to be a piece of debris on a roiling sea.  And, turning toward the heavens, Star Destroyers and X-wings are far as the eye can see.

All these glimpses were just part of their exclusive preview footage from Star Wars: TStar Wars The Rise of Skywalker full movie Online that left the crowd at the Walt Disney Studios panel at D23 Expo gasping Saturday morning.Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker Free

The reel capped off an emotional reunion of Several members of the cast -- Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Billy Dee Williams, Anthony Daniels, Keri Russell, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, and Naomi Ackie, and a Couple of Preferred droids -- in The Rise of Skywalker, that took the point with Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and J.J. Abrams, manager of both Star Wars: The Force Awakens along with the next and final film in the Skywalker saga opening December 20.

Here are 5 highlights from Lucasfilm's section at the star-studded Walt Disney Studios panel.Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker full movie Online

1. J.J. Abrams shared with an emotional story about Carrie Fisher.

"The character of Leia is really, in a way, the heart of this story.  When we were talking about this story we understood we couldn't possibly tell the conclusion of those nine movies without Leia," Abrams said.  The star passed away before filming began, but Abrams still had some unused footage of Fisher in The Force Awakens,"we understood we can use in a new way so Carrie, as Leia, gets to be in the film."  But here is where the story takes a turn.  "I was not supposed to be here," Abrams said, because he was not originally intended to direct the first and last installments in the sequel trilogy.  But before her departure, Fisher wrote a prescient dedication in to her novel The Princess Diarist.  "She was almost kind of supernaturally witty and charming in a way," Abrams said.  On the pages she'd written, ```And thanks to J.J. Abrams for putting me up '  I had never worked with her before The Force Awakens and that I was not supposed to perform this film, therefore it was a timeless Carrie item to kind of write something like that and it could only mean 1 thing for me.  And I couldn't be more excited to have you see her in her final performance."Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker full movie

2.

At the panel, fans got to see the first artistic poster to the movie, after an initial teaser was released together with the emblem on a black star field earlier this season.

3.Keri Russell showed some new details about her character Zorii Bliss, including a previous connection with Poe Dameron.

"It was exciting.  First of all, the main issue is my son actually thinks I am cool now," Russell stated.  "I had this amazing costume and this helmet, which I actually loved to wear and did not take it off for about the first two days.  I wore it the entire time, but I found it amazingly, strangely empowering and exciting.  I can not wait for you guys to fulfill Zorii.  She's very cool and a little bit shady."

The mysterious personality with a criminal past is also"an old friend of Poe's," Russell said.Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker full movie

4.We have a glimpse at fresh behind-the-scenes photos.

"We've genuinely become a household over the past couple of decades," Ridley said.  During the presentation, pictures of cast and crew on set put a spotlight on the emotional connection the found household of actors shares after working on the films, such as a moving photograph of Ackie and Boyega hugging on set.Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker Free

5.  And the new footage increased so many questions!

After having a striking montage of scenes trimmed for the other saga films, the unmistakable voice of Mark Hamill could be heard over the new scenes.  "We have passed all we all know.  A thousand generations reside in you now.  But this is your battle."  The words were part of the first trailer for the movie, but the new footage, like a moment where Rey seems to throw a fully-ignited lightsaber, not to mention the sight of Rey with a reticulated red blade, was nothing short of thrilling.
